pH Correction Filters

Where water is acidic i.e. has a pH value below 7.0, but the water is of clear appearance and has all other chemical parameters within regulation limits, an ‘upflow’ filter can be used to correct the acidity of the water.
The use of a simple filter operating on an upflow principle with the filter holding a neutralising media is often a cost effective method of treating the water.
This type of filter does not incorporate a back wash facility and the water passes down through the filters internal riser tube and comes up through the media, passing out of the filter head and into the system.
